Responsibilities

  • Support safe and efficient railway operations through assigned Level 1 duties.
  • Assist in track, bridge, and infrastructure upkeep (where applicable).
  • Perform basic maintenance and support activities in workshops, depots, or sheds.
  • Assist technical teams in electrical, signaling, telecom, or mechanical support functions as per the post.
  • Follow safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Work in shifts and in outdoor/field environments as required by operational needs.

Requirements

  • Education: Class 10 (High School) from a recognized board OR ITI-equivalent eligibility as specified, including National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT (as per notification).
  • Age Limit (as on 01 July 2025): 18 to 36 years (age relaxation applicable as per RRB rules).
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in operational environments.
  • Willingness to undergo selection stages including CBT, Physical Efficiency Test, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

CBT Exam Pattern (Indicative)

  • General Science: 25 Questions (25 Marks)
  • Mathematics: 25 Questions (25 Marks)
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
  • General Awareness & Current Affairs: 20 Questions (20 Marks)

Marking: +1 for correct answers; -1/3 for incorrect answers.
