This role supports Delhi Police operations by safely operating Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV) and ensuring timely movement of personnel, equipment, and official materials. Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV) safely for official duties, including transport of personnel and materials.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks (brakes, lights, tires, fluid levels) and report defects promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicles; coordinate scheduled servicing as per departmental procedures.
- Follow assigned routes, duty rosters, and instructions from authorized officers.
- Maintain logs and documentation related to trips, fuel usage, and vehicle condition as required.
- Comply with traffic laws, safety protocols, and Delhi Police/SSC guidelines during duty.
- Support operational readiness by ensuring the vehicle is available, roadworthy, and compliant with documentation requirements.
Requirements
- Education: Must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized board or institution.
- License: Must possess a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving License issued by a competent authority.
- Age Limit (as on 01 July 2025): 21 to 30 years (age relaxation as per applicable SSC/Delhi Police rules).
- Physical Eligibility (PET benchmarks):
- Up to 30 years: 1600 m in 7 minutes; Long Jump 12.6 feet; High Jump 3.6 feet
- 30–40 years: 1600 m in 8 minutes; Long Jump 11.6 feet; High Jump 3.3 feet
- Above 40 years: 1600 m in 9 minutes; Long Jump 10.6 feet; High Jump 3.0 feet
- Ability to work in shifts, under operational pressure, and in varied field conditions.
- Strong road-safety mindset, discipline, and reliability.
