RRB Section Controller

Position: Section Controller (Railway Recruitment Board – RRB)

Overview: The Section Controller plays a key role in coordinating and monitoring railway section operations to support safe, punctual, and efficient train movement. This position works closely with operations and control teams to ensure adherence to operational procedures, timely communication, and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor section-level operational activities to support smooth train operations.
  • Maintain timely communication with relevant control/operations units regarding train movement, section status, and operational updates.
  • Record, verify, and maintain operational logs, reports, and related documentation as per prescribed procedures.
  • Support compliance with safety protocols and operational guidelines issued by the Railway administration.
  • Assist in managing disruptions by relaying information, supporting control decisions, and ensuring operational continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve section-level operational issues and improve service reliability.
  • Perform duties as assigned in shifts/rotational schedules, as applicable to railway operations.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026): 20 to 33 years (age relaxation as per RRB rules and regulations).
  • Ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with operations/control stakeholders.
  • Comfort with computer-based systems for test/selection processes and routine reporting.
