Role Overview

As a Work Inspector (Mechanical), you will support mechanical inspection and field-level execution/monitoring of works as assigned by the department. The role involves ensuring adherence to technical specifications, assisting in site inspections, documenting observations, and supporting compliance and quality processes in mechanical works.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspection and supervision of mechanical works at project/sites as assigned.
• Verify materials, workmanship, and execution against approved specifications and standards.
• Maintain inspection records, registers, and related documentation for assigned works.
• Support measurement, checking, and reporting of work progress and quality observations.
• Coordinate with site teams/contractors for routine checks and compliance requirements.
• Report deviations, defects, and non-compliance to the appropriate authority for corrective action.
• Support departmental processes related to written examination, document verification, and medical fitness requirements as applicable for appointment.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification: Passed Class 10 and possess an ITI certificate in Machinist, Fitter, or Wireman/Electrician trade from a recognized institute.
• Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025):
  • Minimum: 18 years
  • Maximum: 37 years (UR Male)
  • Maximum: 40 years (UR Female)
  • Maximum: 40 years (BC/EBC Male & Female)
  • Maximum: 42 years (SC/ST Male & Female)
• Age relaxation will be applicable as per BTSC rules and regulations.
• Ability to work in field/site environments and follow departmental procedures and instructions.
