Responsibilities
- Provide strategic academic and administrative leadership for a technical education institution/department.
- Oversee curriculum planning, academic quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead faculty development, performance management, and mentoring to strengthen teaching and research outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and institutional policies as required by the appointing authority.
- Drive research culture, innovation, industry collaboration, and institutional partnerships.
- Manage institutional planning, resource utilization, and coordination across academic and administrative units.
- Represent the institution in meetings, inspections, and official engagements as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Ph.D. with First Class in either Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Experience: Relevant experience as per UPPSC norms (refer to the official notification for detailed criteria).
- Age limit (as on 01 July 2025): Minimum 35 years; Maximum 50 years (age relaxation as per UPPSC rules).
- Strong leadership, academic governance, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to guide institutional development aligned with technical education standards.
