Position: Assistant Accountant
Organization: Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC)
UKSSSC is inviting applications for the post of Assistant Accountant as part of its 2025 recruitment drive. This role supports accurate accounting operations, record maintenance, and compliance with applicable procedures and reporting requirements. Candidates with a commerce/accounting background and Hindi typing proficiency are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records, including vouchers, ledgers, and registers.
- Assist in preparation and verification of bills, invoices, and payment documentation.
- Support bank-related work such as reconciliations and transaction tracking.
- Help compile periodic statements, summaries, and reports as required by the department.
- Ensure accurate filing and documentation for audits and internal checks.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to collect and validate financial information.
- Perform data entry and ensure accuracy of financial and administrative records.
- Follow applicable government/departmental rules, processes, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Education: B.Com, BBA, or Master’s in Accountancy (as per recruitment eligibility).
- Typing: Hindi typing speed of 4000 key depressions per hour.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and standard office procedures.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work with documents, registers, and routine reporting requirements.
- Willingness to undergo selection stages as notified (written exam, typing test, document verification).
Age Criteria
- Minimum Age: 18 years (as per notification)
- Maximum Age: 42 years (as per notification)
- Age relaxation will be applicable as per UKSSSC rules.
