Assistant Professor

We are seeking qualified and motivated candidates for the position of Assistant Professor. This role focuses on delivering high-quality teaching, supporting student learning outcomes, contributing to academic administration, and engaging in scholarly activities aligned with departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures/tutorials/lab sessions as per the approved curriculum.
  • Develop course materials, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments to meet learning objectives.
  • Evaluate student performance through examinations, continuous assessment, and timely feedback.
  • Mentor and advise students on academic progress, projects, and career pathways.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and institutional activities.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, academic quality assurance, and accreditation-related work.
  • Engage in research/scholarly work, publications, seminars, workshops, and conferences (as applicable to the institution’s expectations).
  • Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and documentation as required.

Requirements

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in the applicable subject/discipline from a recognized university (as per institutional/regulatory norms).
  • Eligibility as per applicable higher education regulations (e.g., NET/SET/Ph.D. requirements where mandated).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a student-centric teaching approach.
  • Ability to design assessments, evaluate fairly, and maintain academic integrity.
  • Basic proficiency with academic technologies (LMS, digital content tools, online teaching platforms) is preferred.
  • Prior teaching/research experience is desirable but not mandatory for all entry-level appointments (subject to norms).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
  • Research publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or conference presentations.
  • Experience in curriculum design, outcome-based education, or accreditation processes.
