Role Overview

As an Engineer Trainee or Supervisor Trainee, you will undergo structured training and on-the-job learning to build technical, operational, and project execution capabilities. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing, quality, commissioning, maintenance, and project delivery activities as per organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in structured training programs and learn BHEL processes, standards, and safety practices.
  • Assist in engineering/manufacturing operations, including planning, execution, and documentation.
  • Support quality assurance/quality control activities, inspections, testing, and compliance reporting.
  • Contribute to installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting (as applicable to assignment).
  • Coordinate with internal teams (design, production, procurement, site teams) to meet project timelines.
  • Maintain records, prepare technical reports, and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Adhere strictly to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines and statutory requirements.

Requirements

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Engineer Trainee: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in relevant discipline from a recognized institution/university.
    • Supervisor Trainee: Diploma in Engineering in relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Strong fundamentals in core engineering subjects relevant to the applied discipline.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and work across shifts/sites as per business requirements.
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office) and comfort with technical documentation.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be carried out as per BHEL recruitment guidelines and may include written examination and/or interview/assessment (as notified by BHEL).
