We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Professor to join our academic team. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching, contributing to curriculum development, mentoring students, and engaging in research and scholarly activities aligned with departmental goals. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong subject expertise, effective classroom management, and a commitment to academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses as assigned by the department.
- Develop course materials, lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources in line with academic standards.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, examinations, presentations, and practical work (as applicable).
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and guidance to students, including support for projects and internships.
- Engage in research, publications, conferences, and other scholarly activities as per institutional expectations.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, accreditation activities, and institutional initiatives.
- Support curriculum review, program development, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, grades, and documentation as required.
- Contribute to outreach, extension activities, and collaboration with industry/academic partners when applicable.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in the relevant discipline (Ph.D. preferred or in progress, depending on institutional norms).
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively and communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Strong research orientation with evidence of publications, conference participation, or ongoing scholarly work (preferred).
- Familiarity with outcome-based education, assessment methods, and modern pedagogical tools (preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a student-centric approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and administration.
- Comfort with learning management systems (LMS), digital teaching tools, and standard productivity software.
