Role Overview

The District Statistical Officer (DSO) / Assistant Director (Statistics) supports government decision-making by producing reliable statistical analysis, managing data systems, and contributing to surveys, reporting, and program monitoring. Responsibilities

  • Plan, compile, validate, and analyze statistical data for district/state-level reporting and policy support.

  • Prepare statistical reports, dashboards, and presentations for departmental and inter-departmental use.
  • Ensure data quality through verification, reconciliation, and documentation of methodologies.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Statistics or Mathematics or Economics from a recognized university (completed on or before the last date of application submission as per the official notice).

    • Maximum: 40 years (Female UR, BC/EBC)
