Position: Ayush Officer
We are seeking qualified and patient-focused Ayush Officers to provide evidence-informed AYUSH healthcare services, support preventive and promotive health programs, and contribute to community wellness initiatives. The role involves clinical consultation, documentation, patient counseling, and coordination with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver accessible, ethical, and high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient consultations, clinical assessments, diagnosis (as per AYUSH scope), and treatment planning.
- Prescribe and administer appropriate AYUSH therapies/medicines in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines, and protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records, case sheets, follow-up notes, and required registers in a timely manner.
- Provide patient education on lifestyle modification, diet, preventive care, and adherence to prescribed treatment.
- Support public health and community outreach programs such as wellness camps, awareness drives, and preventive screening initiatives.
- Coordinate referrals to other specialties or facilities when clinically indicated.
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance, safety, hygiene, and biomedical waste management practices.
- Participate in audits, reporting, and quality improvement activities as required.
- Collaborate with pharmacists, nursing staff, therapists, and administrative teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations, continuing medical education, and best practices in AYUSH healthcare.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an AYUSH discipline (e.g., BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BNYS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the relevant statutory council/board as applicable.
- Clinical experience in outpatient/inpatient or community health settings is preferred (freshers may be considered where permitted).
- Strong communication skills in local language(s); ability to counsel patients effectively.
- Working knowledge of computers for documentation, reporting, and basic office applications.
- Understanding of clinical documentation standards, patient confidentiality, and ethical practice.
- Ability to work in a structured environment with defined targets, reporting, and service standards.
