Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) invites applications for Group A, Group B, and Group C positions across research, technical, paramedical, administrative, and support functions. Selection Overview:

  • Group A (Research Officer posts): Computer-Based Test (CBT) + Interview
  • Group B & C: CBT only

Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary by post and group; typical duties may include one or more of the following:

  • Conducting, supporting, and documenting research activities (clinical, pharmacology, pathology, botany, chemistry, pharmacy, etc.).
  • Assisting in laboratory operations, sample handling, testing, quality control, and maintaining lab records.
  • Providing patient care and clinical support services for paramedical roles (e.g., nursing, laboratory technology).
  • Performing administrative and office operations including drafting, data entry, file management, and coordination.
  • Providing translation support (Hindi/English) for official documents and communications, where applicable.
  • Supporting institutional operations such as library services, security supervision, driving, printing/offset operations, and general maintenance.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable standards, protocols, and institutional guidelines.

Requirements

Eligibility is post-specific. Candidates should review the official notification for detailed criteria. Below is a summarized snapshot of key qualifications for select roles:

  • Research Officer (Pathology) – Group A: MD in Pathology (MCI recognized) + enrollment on Central/State Medical Council register.
  • Research Officer (Ayurveda) – Group A: MD/MS in Ayurveda (CCIM recognized) + enrollment on Central/State register (CCIM/Ayurveda/ISM).
  • Assistant Research Officer (Pharmacology) – Group B: M.Pharm (Pharmacology) / M.Pharm (Ay) / M.Sc (Medicinal Plant) with specialization in pharmacology + 1 year post-PG experience.
  • Staff Nurse – Group B: B.Sc Nursing OR Diploma (GNM) with 2 years experience in teaching/research hospital + State Nursing Council registration.
  • Assistant – Group B: Bachelor’s degree + computer proficiency.
  • Translator (Hindi Assistant) – Group B: Master’s degree with specified Hindi/English combinations + translation diploma/certificate or 2 years relevant experience.
  • Medical Laboratory Technologist – Group B: Bachelor’s in Medical Laboratory Science + 2 years relevant experience.
  • UDC – Group C: Bachelor’s degree.
  • LDC – Group C: 12th pass + typing speed (35 WPM English or 30 WPM Hindi) on computer.
  • Stenographer Grade I/II – Group C: Matric/equivalent + shorthand/typing speed as per grade + experience where applicable.
  • Pharmacist (Grade-I) – Group C: D.Pharm / D.Pharm (Ay) with 2 years experience in recognized Ayurvedic hospital OR B.Pharm (Ay).
  • MTS – Group C: Matriculation/equivalent (and/or ITI in related trade as applicable by post).
  • Driver (Ordinary Grade) – Group C: Matric/equivalent + valid license (light & heavy vehicles) + ~2 years experience.

Age Limit: Post-wise (as per CCRAS rules) with applicable relaxations.
