Specialist Officer (Banking) – Indian Overseas Bank (IOB)

Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) is hiring Specialist Officers to support critical banking operations, risk controls, customer service delivery, and specialized functional areas across the organization. This position is part of a formal recruitment process that includes an Online Examination, a Language Proficiency Test (LPT), and a Personal Interview.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support specialized banking functions and contribute to efficient execution of assigned operational and business processes.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and compliance requirements applicable to the role.
  • Assist in documentation, reporting, and maintenance of accurate records in line with audit and governance standards.

  • Handle customer/stakeholder queries relevant to the assigned specialization with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Prepare for and participate in selection stages including Online Examination, LPT, and Interview as required.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university in India.
  • Age Limit: Minimum and maximum age varies by post (approximately 22–25 years minimum and 35–40 years maximum as per post-wise criteria). Age relaxation applies as per bank/government norms.
  • Comfort working with structured workflows, documentation, and compliance-oriented tasks.
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to work with online systems/portals.
  • Willingness to work in a regulated environment with high standards of integrity and confidentiality.
