Position: Assistant Engineer (AE) – Civil

We are seeking qualified Civil Engineering professionals for the role of Assistant Engineer (AE). This position involves supporting the planning, execution, supervision, and quality assurance of civil engineering works, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and departmental procedures. The role is suited for candidates with strong technical fundamentals, a field-oriented approach, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, design review, estimation, and execution of civil engineering projects (roads, buildings, waterworks, drainage, and related infrastructure as applicable).
  • Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, safety norms, and quality standards.
  • Prepare and verify measurements, bills of quantities (BOQ), and contractor running bills; support documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to track progress, resolve site issues, and ensure timely completion.
  • Conduct site inspections, maintain work diaries, and submit periodic progress and compliance reports.
  • Support testing and quality control processes for materials and workmanship (as per relevant IS codes and departmental guidelines).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable rules, procedures, and project governance requirements.
  • Contribute to community-facing works by coordinating with local bodies where required and maintaining stakeholder communication.

Requirements

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification recognized by the government).
  • Language & Cultural Knowledge: Working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script and familiarity with Rajasthani culture.
  • Age Criteria: Typically 21 to 40 years (age relaxations as per applicable government/RPSC rules).
  • Sound understanding of civil engineering fundamentals, construction practices, and quality/safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and estimates.
  • Proficiency in documentation and reporting; comfort with basic digital tools for records and communication.
  • Strong coordination skills and willingness to work in field/site environments as required.
