Position: Vice Principal (Industrial Training Institute – ITI)

Overview: We are seeking qualified engineering professionals to serve as Vice Principal (ITI). This role supports the academic, administrative, and operational leadership of an Industrial Training Institute, helping ensure high-quality technical education delivery, compliance with applicable standards, and effective coordination among faculty, staff, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Principal in day-to-day administration of the ITI, including academic planning and operational oversight.
  • Assist in implementing institute policies, academic schedules, and training programs aligned with technical education standards.
  • Coordinate with instructors and departments to ensure effective delivery of curriculum and practical training.
  • Monitor academic performance, workshop/lab utilization, and training outcomes; recommend improvements where needed.
  • Contribute to student discipline, attendance monitoring, and overall campus management.
  • Support documentation and reporting requirements as per applicable guidelines and institutional needs.
  • Participate in recruitment/selection processes as applicable and contribute to interview/assessment activities when assigned.
  • Encourage continuous improvement initiatives, industry linkage activities, and employability-focused training support.

Requirements

  • Education (Mandatory): Regular (not distance) Engineering degree such as B.Tech./B.E./B.Sc. Engg./B.S. from an AICTE-approved Indian university or a UGC-recognized deemed university; or a regular technical postgraduate degree such as M.Tech./M.E./M.S..
  • Experience: Work/teaching experience is not mandatory, but relevant experience may be considered a desirable qualification and may be awarded additional weightage as per applicable rules.
  • Age: As per BPSC norms (age relaxation applicable per regulations).
  • Strong administrative and coordination skills with an ability to work across academic and operational functions.
  • Good communication skills and comfort with documentation, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
