As a Primary Teacher (JBT), you will plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons, assess student progress, collaborate with school leadership and parents, and contribute to a safe and supportive classroom environment aligned with applicable curriculum and education standards.

Responsibilities

Deliver effective classroom instruction for primary classes using child-friendly and activity-based pedagogy.
Plan daily/weekly lesson plans aligned to the prescribed curriculum and learning outcomes.
Assess student learning through classwork, assignments, projects, and periodic tests; maintain accurate records.
Identify learning gaps and provide remedial/enrichment support as required.
Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
Maintain classroom discipline and ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and development.
Participate in school meetings, training programs, and academic planning activities.
Support co-curricular and school-wide initiatives, events, and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

Relevant teacher education qualification as per applicable norms for JBT/Primary Teacher roles.
Demonstrated understanding of primary-level pedagogy, classroom management, and learner assessment.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to engage young learners.
Comfort with using basic digital tools for lesson planning, reporting, and classroom support.
Commitment to child safeguarding, professional ethics, and inclusive education practices.
Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and school leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience teaching at the primary level in a structured school environment.
Exposure to activity-based learning, competency-based education, or foundational literacy and numeracy programs.
Ability to support students with varied learning needs through differentiated instruction.
