Position: Village Development Officer (VDO)

We are seeking motivated and community-focused professionals for the role of Village Development Officer (VDO). This position supports rural development initiatives, improves delivery of government services at the village level, and coordinates with local stakeholders to implement development programs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support planning and execution of village-level development programs and schemes.
  • Coordinate with local bodies, community groups, and relevant departments to ensure timely implementation of initiatives.
  • Maintain and update records, registers, and reports related to village development activities.
  • Assist in conducting surveys, collecting field data, and preparing documentation for program monitoring.
  • Facilitate awareness and community participation in government schemes and local development projects.
  • Help ensure transparency, compliance, and proper utilization of resources in assigned activities.
  • Support administrative tasks, including drafting communications and preparing periodic progress updates.
  • Participate in inspections, reviews, and document verification processes as required.

Requirements

  • Education: Must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized board.
  • Eligibility: Valid UPSSSC PET 2022 score card (as applicable per official guidelines/notification).
  • Age: Typically 21 to 40 years (age relaxation as per applicable rules).
  • Basic proficiency in documentation, record-keeping, and office processes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse community stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work in field conditions and travel within assigned areas.
  • Comfort with using standard office tools and portals for reporting and data entry.
