Position: Junior Court Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-minded Junior Court Assistant to support court administration and case-management operations. This role requires strong clerical skills, accuracy in handling sensitive information, and the ability to work efficiently in a structured, process-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support for court and registry operations, including filing, indexing, and record maintenance.
- Assist in processing case-related documentation such as petitions, applications, notices, and orders in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain and update physical and digital records; ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of case files.
- Support scheduling and coordination activities, including hearing calendars, listings, and communication of updates as directed.
- Handle front-desk or helpdesk interactions with internal stakeholders and authorized visitors; guide them on standard processes and documentation requirements.
- Prepare routine correspondence, drafts, and reports; perform data entry and verification with a high level of accuracy.
- Support scanning, digitization, and document management initiatives; ensure proper labeling and storage.
- Coordinate with internal departments for movement of files and timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Follow compliance, security, and confidentiality protocols while handling sensitive information.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support smooth functioning of court administrative processes.
Requirements
- Graduate degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution (preferred); relevant administrative experience is a plus.
- Strong typing and computer skills, including proficiency with common office software (word processing, spreadsheets, email).
- High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under deadlines.
- Professional communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive records responsibly.
- Strong organizational skills, including file management and prioritization.
- Comfort working in a structured, rules-based environment with defined processes.
