Position: IB Security Assistant (Motor Transport)

We are seeking disciplined, safety-focused, and service-oriented candidates for the role of Security Assistant (Motor Transport). The position involves driving and vehicle operations support for official duties, basic vehicle upkeep, and assisting with security/administrative tasks as assigned. This is a field-oriented role requiring high integrity, physical fitness, and adherence to protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned government vehicles safely and responsibly for official travel and duty movements.
  • Ensure compliance with traffic laws, departmental protocols, and security instructions during travel and deployments.
  • Perform daily vehicle checks (fuel, oil, coolant, tire pressure, lights, brakes) and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
  • Maintain vehicle-related documentation such as logbooks, route details, duty slips, and basic checklists.
  • Coordinate with supervisors for duty schedules, route planning, and timely reporting.
  • Support transport-related logistics including pick-up/drop, movement of official materials, and coordination at designated points.
  • Report faults, accidents, or unusual incidents promptly and follow established reporting procedures.
  • Assist in other security/administrative duties as required, including adherence to confidentiality and conduct standards.

Requirements

  • Valid driving license for motor transport as applicable to the role and local regulations.
  • Demonstrated safe driving practices and knowledge of road safety norms.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to identify common mechanical issues.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, extended hours, and on-call duties based on operational requirements.
  • Ability to follow instructions, maintain discipline, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Physically fit for field duties and capable of performing routine transport support tasks.
  • Strong integrity, reliability, and commitment to confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in driving for government, public sector, defense, police, or security organizations.
  • Familiarity with maintaining vehicle logbooks and official movement records.
  • Basic understanding of navigation, local routes, and use of standard navigation tools.
