RPSC Assistant Professor

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Professor to join our academic team and contribute to high-quality teaching, research, and student mentorship. This role is ideal for an educator-scholar who is passionate about curriculum development, academic excellence, and collaborative departmental growth.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses as assigned, ensuring strong learning outcomes and academic rigor.
  • Design and update course materials, lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources aligned with departmental standards.
  • Conduct research and scholarly activities, including publications, conference presentations, and research project participation.
  • Mentor and advise students on academic progress, research projects, and career development.
  • Participate in departmental and institutional committees, academic planning, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Support examination, evaluation, and academic administration processes in accordance with institutional policies.
  • Contribute to outreach, seminars, workshops, and academic events to strengthen the institution’s academic community.
  • Maintain accurate academic records and comply with applicable academic and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in the applicable subject/discipline (as per institutional and regulatory norms).
  • Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the higher education level.
  • Evidence of research capability (publications, projects, or ongoing research work preferred).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to academic integrity, inclusive teaching practices, and student success.
  • Comfort with educational technology, learning management systems, and digital teaching tools.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in the relevant discipline or near completion.
  • Prior teaching experience in a recognized college/university.
  • Experience in curriculum development, accreditation/NAAC-related work, or academic quality initiatives.
  • Active participation in professional bodies, conferences, workshops, or funded research.
