Position: Assistant Engineer (AE) – Civil / Mechanical / Electrical
Overview: We are seeking qualified Assistant Engineers to support the planning, execution, supervision, and quality assurance of public infrastructure and engineering projects. This role involves technical design/review, site coordination, contractor management, documentation, and compliance with applicable standards and safety regulations. Openings are available across Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end project execution including planning, estimation, scheduling, and on-site supervision.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs; assist in preparing technical reports and recommendations.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely progress and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor work quality, measurements, and material compliance; maintain measurement books and site records as required.
- Assist in inspections, testing, and commissioning activities (as applicable to the discipline).
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, statutory requirements, and relevant engineering codes/standards.
- Prepare progress updates, documentation, and support audit/verification processes.
- Identify risks/issues on-site and propose corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements
- Education: BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university/institute.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, field execution practices, and quality control principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge of relevant standards/codes and safety practices.
- Good communication skills for coordination with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Proficiency with standard office tools (documentation, spreadsheets) and readiness to adopt project/reporting systems.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work in field conditions as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or prior experience in construction/project execution/maintenance (public works or private sector).
- Familiarity with estimation, billing, measurement, and basic project controls.
- Exposure to QA/QC processes, testing procedures, or commissioning activities relevant to the discipline.
