Position: Assistant Environmental Engineer (AEE)

This role is suited for engineers who are passionate about environmental protection, regulatory compliance, and sustainable infrastructure. The Assistant Environmental Engineer supports environmental planning, monitoring, and implementation activities across projects and programs, ensuring adherence to applicable standards and statutory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, implementation, and monitoring of environmental engineering initiatives and programs.
- Support environmental impact assessments (EIA), baseline studies, and environmental management plans (EMP) as required.
- Conduct field inspections and prepare technical observations, compliance notes, and site visit reports.
- Monitor air, water, noise, and soil quality parameters; coordinate sample collection and testing through approved laboratories.
- Review technical documents, drawings, and proposals for environmental safeguards and compliance alignment.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and relevant authorities for permits, clearances, and compliance reporting.
- Maintain records, dashboards, and documentation related to monitoring, audits, and corrective actions.
- Assist in drafting technical correspondence, presentations, and periodic progress reports.
- Support grievance handling and community/environmental awareness activities when assigned.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the department/controlling authority in line with the post.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech/AMIE) in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Age: Minimum 21 years. Upper age limits may vary by category as per applicable government norms and notifications.
- Working knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and compliance practices is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical data, prepare structured reports, and maintain accurate records.
- Good communication skills for coordination with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in common office tools (spreadsheets, documentation) and readiness for field work.
