Scientific Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Scientific Assistant to support scientific and technical activities across laboratory/engineering workflows, documentation, and project execution. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong academic foundation in engineering or science and an interest in working in a structured, compliance-driven environment.

The Scientific Assistant will contribute to day-to-day technical operations, assist in data collection and analysis, support testing/validation activities, and help maintain accurate records. The position requires strong analytical ability, discipline-specific fundamentals, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing scientific/technical tasks aligned with project requirements and standard operating procedures.
  • Support laboratory/field/engineering testing activities, including preparation of materials, setup of equipment, and observation logging.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze technical data; prepare summaries, tables, and basic visualizations as required.
  • Maintain documentation, including test reports, logs, checklists, and records for audits and internal reviews.
  • Support troubleshooting of routine technical issues and escalate complex issues to senior staff.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Follow safety, quality, and compliance guidelines; ensure proper handling and storage of instruments and materials.
  • Assist with document verification and administrative coordination related to project or operational needs, when required.

Requirements

  • Education: B.Tech/B.E or M.Sc in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics/Communication, or related fields).
  • Strong fundamentals in the chosen discipline and the ability to apply concepts to practical tasks.
  • Comfort with structured processes, documentation, and working under defined guidelines.
  • Basic proficiency in using computers and common office tools for reporting and record-keeping.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in data handling.
  • Age preference: Typically 18–30 years (role may align with regulated hiring norms; final criteria may vary by organization/policy).
