Responsibilities
- Deliver theory lectures and practical demonstrations for nursing students as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Plan, organize, and conduct clinical teaching and supervision in hospital/clinical settings.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, assignments, and assessment materials.
- Evaluate student performance through tests, practical exams, viva, and continuous internal assessment.
- Mentor students on professional conduct, ethics, patient safety, and evidence-based nursing practices.
- Maintain academic records, attendance, and documentation as required by the institution and regulatory bodies.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and institutional quality initiatives.
- Support nursing research, seminars, skill labs, workshops, and continuing education activities.
- Ensure compliance with standards of the Indian Nursing Council and relevant Bihar health/education regulations.
Requirements
- Education: M.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Nursing (Basic/Post Basic), or D.N.E.A. from a recognized institution approved by the Indian Nursing Council or Bihar Health Department.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with valid supporting certificates.
- Registration: Must be registered with the Bihar Nurses Registration Council, Patna.
- Age: Minimum 21 years. Maximum age limits apply as per category norms (as per BTSC rules).
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to teach and guide students effectively.
- Working knowledge of clinical protocols, patient safety practices, and nursing procedures.
- Ability to maintain documentation and academic/clinical records accurately.
