This role supports critical policing operations through investigation assistance, confidential branch work, administrative processing, records management, and finance/accounts support. Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day police administrative and operational support functions as per posting and cadre.
- Maintain and process official files, registers, correspondence, and documentation with high accuracy.
- Handle confidential records, communications, and sensitive information (for Confidential/related roles) in compliance with departmental protocols.
- Perform data entry, drafting, note preparation, and report compilation using standard office tools and prescribed formats.
- Support accounts-related work such as bill processing, ledger/register maintenance, reconciliation support, and documentation (for Accounts/related roles).
- Coordinate with internal departments for timely movement of files and completion of assigned tasks.
- Support verification/record checks, document scrutiny, and other administrative duties during recruitment/field activities as assigned.
- Follow all departmental rules, reporting structures, and conduct requirements; maintain discipline and professional behavior.
Requirements
- Educational qualification as per official notification for the specific post (commonly includes 10+2/Graduation or equivalent for relevant cadres).
- Basic computer proficiency (typing, MS Office/office productivity tools) and comfort working with digital records.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of official information.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Hindi; working knowledge of English is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and coordinate across teams.
- Must meet prescribed age limits, physical standards (if applicable), and other eligibility conditions as per UPPRPB/UP Police rules.
