Responsibilities
- Lead and manage operational tasks including maritime surveillance, coastal security, and law enforcement at sea.
- Plan and execute search-and-rescue (SAR) missions and emergency response operations.
- Support navigation, seamanship, and operational readiness activities as assigned.
- For Technical officers: oversee maintenance, reliability, and performance of ship/aircraft systems and mission-critical equipment.
- Maintain high standards of discipline, training, and team leadership.
- Participate in inspections, documentation, and compliance activities as per service requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders during operations and joint missions.
Requirements
Age Limit (as on 01 July 2026)
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 25 years
- Age relaxation as per Indian Coast Guard regulations.
Educational Qualifications
General Duty (GD) – Male
- 10+2 passed with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board.
- Graduation degree with a minimum of 60% marks in all semesters/years.
Technical (Mechanical) – Male
- B.E./B.Tech with minimum 60% marks in one of the following disciplines: Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, Industrial & Production, Metallurgy, Design, Aeronautical, Aerospace.
- 10+2 passed with Mathematics and Physics.
Technical (Electrical / Electronics) – Male
- Engineering degree with minimum 60% marks in one of the following disciplines: Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Communication, Power Engineering, Power Electronics.
- 10+2 passed with Mathematics and Physics.
