Role Overview
As an SSC Executive (Information Technology) officer, you will contribute to the Navy’s mission by supporting and managing IT systems, cyber security, software and network operations, and other technology-enabled capabilities. This role offers structured training, leadership exposure, and opportunities to work on mission-critical systems in high-impact environments.
Responsibilities
- Support planning, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure and enterprise systems.
- Assist in cyber security operations including monitoring, incident response, and implementation of security controls.
- Contribute to secure communications, network administration, and system hardening activities.
- Work with teams on software systems, data platforms, analytics, and automation initiatives as applicable.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and compliance/operational records as required.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure availability, integrity, and confidentiality of IT services.
- Participate in training and professional development as mandated by the service.
Requirements
Nationality/Service Conditions
- Unmarried male or female candidates (as per the notification).
- Must meet medical and service standards as applicable to Indian Navy rules.
Age / Date of Birth
- Candidates must be born between 02 January 2001 and 01 July 2006 (both dates inclusive), as per Indian Navy rules.
- Age relaxation: as per Indian Navy regulations (if applicable).
Educational Qualifications
- Minimum 60% marks in English in Class 10 or Class 12.
- Minimum 60% overall in one of the following qualifying pathways:

- MCA with BCA or BSc (CS/IT); or
- Engineering/Technology/Science degrees such as BE/BTech/MTech/MSc in relevant domains including (but not limited to) Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Systems, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, etc.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting/merit-based consideration (as per notification).
- SSB Interview.
- Further stages (medical/verification) as per Indian Navy procedures.
