Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor radio communication equipment in accordance with operational protocols and chain-of-command instructions.
- Assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing radio/communication systems and related electronic equipment (as applicable to RO/RM trade).
- Perform routine checks, logging, and reporting for communication equipment and network readiness.
- Support field and unit communication needs during deployments, exercises, and daily operations.
- Adhere to BSF discipline, confidentiality, safety procedures, and technical SOPs.
- Participate in mandated training, physical readiness activities, and assessments required for service roles.
Requirements
Educational / Technical Eligibility
- Head Constable (RO): 10th (or equivalent) with 2-year ITI in Radio & Television, Electronics, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Data Preparation, or related trade; or 12th (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Head Constable (RM): 10th (or equivalent) with 2-year ITI in Radio & Television, General Electronics, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, or related trade; or 12th (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
