Responsibilities
- Perform role-specific administrative, clerical, confidential, and accounts-related duties as assigned by the department.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Support operational units through timely reporting, data handling, and back-office coordination.
- Ensure confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information (especially for SI Confidential).
- Assist in office workflow management, correspondence, and compliance with applicable rules and instructions.
- Participate in selection-stage requirements including examinations, physical tests, document verification, and medical examination as applicable.
Eligibility & Requirements
Age Limit (as on 01 July 2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
- Age Relaxation: As per UP Police SI/ASI recruitment rules.
Educational Qualifications (Post-wise)
- Sub Inspector (Confidential): Graduate (or equivalent) from a recognized university in India; Hindi typing 25 wpm; English typing 35 wpm; Hindi stenography 80 wpm; O Level exam passed.
- Assistant Sub Inspector (Clerk): Graduate (or equivalent) from a recognized university in India; Hindi typing 25 wpm; English typing 35 wpm; Hindi stenography 80 wpm; O Level exam passed.
- Assistant Sub Inspector (Accounts): B.Com from a recognized university in India; Hindi typing 15 wpm; O Level exam passed.
Physical Standard Test (PST)
Male Candidates
- UR/OBC/SC: Height 163 cm; Chest 77–82 cm
- ST: Height 156 cm; Chest 75–80 cm
Female Candidates
- UR/OBC/SC: Height 150 cm; Minimum weight 40 kg
- ST: Height 145 cm; Minimum weight 40 kg
