Position: Haryana Police Constable

We are seeking disciplined, community-focused, and physically fit candidates for the role of Police Constable to support public safety operations, maintain law and order, and assist in crime prevention and response. This role requires integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to perform under pressure while working closely with the public and senior officers.

Responsibilities

Patrol assigned areas on foot, bike, or vehicle to deter crime and ensure public safety.
Maintain law and order during public gatherings, events, and emergency situations.
Respond promptly to calls for service, including disputes, accidents, and security incidents.
Assist in preliminary investigations by securing scenes, collecting information, and supporting evidence handling as directed.
Control traffic, manage road safety operations, and support accident response procedures.
Conduct identity checks and assist with lawful detentions/arrests under supervision and as per applicable procedures.
Prepare basic reports, logs, and statements accurately and in a timely manner.
Coordinate with senior officers and other units for operational support and information sharing.
Engage with the community to build trust, support awareness initiatives, and encourage public cooperation.
Maintain readiness of uniform, equipment, and assigned resources; follow safety and compliance protocols.

Requirements

Eligibility as per the applicable recruitment rules/notification for Haryana Police Constable.
Ability to meet physical standards and successfully complete required fitness tests and medical examination.
Strong discipline, integrity, and willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Basic communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to document incidents clearly.
Sound decision-making skills, emotional resilience, and ability to handle stressful situations.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to follow instructions and operate within a chain of command.
Comfort working outdoors in varying weather and field conditions.
Clean background verification as per departmental norms.
Preferred: Prior experience in security, NCC, civil defense, or related public service roles (where applicable).
