Responsibilities

As a cadet and future officer in the Executive & Technical Branch, responsibilities may include (post-training/commissioning, as per branch allocation and service requirements):

  • Participating in structured naval training and academic/technical curriculum leading to B.E./B.Tech alignment.
  • Supporting operation and maintenance of naval systems, platforms, and technical equipment as applicable.
  • Assisting in planning, execution, and monitoring of ship/establishment technical activities under supervision.
  • Adhering to naval discipline, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
  • Demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and readiness for responsibilities in dynamic environments.
  • Maintaining physical fitness standards and completing mandatory assessments during training.

Requirements

  • Age Limit: Minimum 17 years and maximum 19.5 years.
  • Date of Birth Range: Candidates should be born between 02 January 2007 and 01 July 2009 (inclusive), as per notification.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Passed Class 10+2 with 70% marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics).
    • 50% marks in English in Class 10 or Class 12.
  • JEE (Main): Candidate should have appeared for JEE (Main) 2024 (for B.E./B.Tech). SSB call-up will be based on JEE (Main) 2024 All India Rank published by NTA.
  • Selection Process:
    • Shortlisting based on JEE (Main) AIR
    • Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview
    • Further stages as per Indian Navy procedures (e.g., medicals/document verification), if applicable
