Role Overview

BTSC is inviting online applications for the post of Sports Trainer. The role involves coaching, performance development, and structured training support in the relevant sports discipline, aligned with institutional and departmental objectives.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver structured coaching sessions in the relevant sports discipline.
Develop athlete training programs focusing on fitness, skill development, and performance improvement.
Monitor athlete progress, maintain training records, and provide performance feedback.
Support preparation for competitions and assist in talent identification and development initiatives.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, injury prevention practices, and discipline-specific standards.
Coordinate with administrators and relevant stakeholders for scheduling, facilities, and event participation.

Requirements

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Diploma in Sports Coaching in the relevant sport discipline from one of the following (or equivalent):
- A National Sports Institute run by the Government of India under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports
- Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior
- Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala
- Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Coaching (PGDSC) from a UGC-recognized university
- Any other equivalent qualification from a recognized university

Sports Achievements (Any of the following)

Participation/achievement in the concerned sport discipline in Olympic Games / Commonwealth Games / Asian Games representing the country, or
Winning a medal in Senior National Championship, or
Representing at least twice in Junior National Championship / National Youth Championship, or
Participation at least three times in Inter-University Championship / All India Police Games / Inter-Railway Championship.

Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025)

Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age: 37 years (Male)
Maximum Age: 40 years (Female UR, BC, EBC Male & Female)
Maximum Age: 42 years (SC, ST Male & Female)
Age relaxation as per BTSC Sports Trainer recruitment rules.
