We are seeking motivated and technically strong Junior Engineers to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations across industrial facilities. This role is ideal for diploma-qualified engineers who want hands-on exposure to plant operations, maintenance practices, instrumentation and control systems, and continuous improvement in a process/industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operations and maintenance activities within the assigned discipline (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation).
  • Assist in monitoring plant parameters, troubleshooting equipment/process issues, and coordinating corrective actions to ensure high availability and safety compliance.
  • Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including inspections, calibration, testing, and documentation.
  • Help implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safe work practices; ensure adherence to statutory and internal safety requirements.
  • Contribute to shutdown/turnaround planning and execution, including work permits, isolation plans, and contractor coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records for maintenance activities, spares usage, calibration reports, and compliance checklists.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (energy efficiency, reliability improvement, quality enhancement, and cost optimization).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, HSE, quality, projects) to resolve issues and implement changes.
  • Assist with vendor/contractor supervision, material identification, and technical evaluation for routine spares and services.

Requirements

  • 3-year Diploma (full-time regular) in relevant discipline (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation) from an institute/college/university recognized by AICTE/UGC/State Boards.
  • Minimum marks: 65% for General/EWS/OBC-NCL and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates (or as per applicable institutional norms).
  • Basic understanding of industrial safety practices, maintenance concepts, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings/schematics (P&IDs for Chemical; mechanical drawings for Mechanical; single-line diagrams for Electrical; loop diagrams/instrument datasheets for Instrumentation).
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and willingness to learn CMMS/ERP tools used for maintenance tracking.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, safety-first mindset.
  • Willingness to work in shifts and in field/plant environments as required.
  • Age criteria may apply as per organizational policy (typically up to 26 years with applicable relaxations).
