Responsibilities
- Participate in structured, on-the-job apprenticeship training in the allotted trade/unit as per Eastern Railway/RRC guidelines.
- Assist senior technical staff in routine maintenance, repair, fabrication, inspection, and workshop/site activities relevant to the trade.
- Follow safety procedures, standard operating practices, and departmental instructions during training.
- Maintain discipline, attendance, and training records as required by the training establishment.
- Demonstrate progress in trade skills through practical learning and periodic assessments (as applicable).
Requirements
- Education: Matriculation (10th) or equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
- Technical Qualification: ITI certificate in the relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT approved institution.
- Age Limit (as on 13 September 2025):
- Minimum: 15 years
- Maximum: 24 years
- Age relaxation: As per RRC ER apprenticeship recruitment rules.
- Ability to comply with apprenticeship rules, training schedules, and railway safety standards.
