Responsibilities
Statistics Officer
- Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data for departmental reporting and planning.
- Design and implement statistical methodologies, sampling plans, and data validation processes.
- Prepare technical notes, dashboards, and periodic reports for decision-making.
- Support evaluation studies, surveys, and audits with robust statistical techniques.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with applicable government data standards.
Assistant Geologist
- Assist in geological investigations, mapping, and interpretation of field/lab data.
- Support mineral/groundwater/geotechnical assessments as assigned by the department.
- Prepare geological reports, cross-sections, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate field visits, sampling, and record-keeping of observations and results.
- Contribute to departmental projects related to applied geology and resource evaluation.
Eligibility & Requirements
Age Limit (as on 01 July 2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
- Age Relaxation: As per UPPSC rules (refer to official notification)
Educational Qualification
- Statistics Officer: Master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Commerce, Economics, or Statistics with at least 55% marks, or a Post Graduate Diploma in Statistics.
- Assistant Geologist: Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology, or Diploma in Applied Geology from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad with at least 50% marks.
