Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to service personnel and eligible dependents in accordance with AFMS standards and protocols.
- Conduct clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care across outpatient and inpatient settings as assigned.
- Support emergency and trauma care services, including triage and stabilization, as per unit/establishment requirements.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with applicable regulations and service procedures.
- Participate in preventive healthcare initiatives, health education, and medical fitness evaluations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams and contribute to operational readiness, including postings as per service needs.
- Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional medical standards expected within the Armed Forces Medical Services.
Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a medical qualification included in the National Medical Commission Act, 2019.
- Registration: Must have permanent registration with any State Medical Council / MCI / NMC.
- Postgraduate Eligibility: Post Graduate Degree holders recognized by State Medical Council / MCI / NBE / NMC may also apply.
- Internship: Only those candidates who have completed or will complete internship on or before 15 August 2025 are eligible.
Age Limit (as on 01 October 2024)
- MBBS / PG Diploma holders: Up to 30 years (only candidates born on or after 02 January 1996 are eligible)
- PG Degree holders: Up to 35 years (only candidates born on or after 02 January 1991 are eligible)
