Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary by post and department. Typical duties may include:

  • Providing administrative and clerical support for court and office operations.
  • Document handling, record maintenance, filing, indexing, and registry support.
  • Typing, copying, transcription, and preparation of official correspondence and case-related documents (for Typist/Copyist/Stenographer roles).
  • Assisting in examination/verification processes related to court documentation (for Examiner roles).
  • Supporting courtroom proceedings through coordination, scheduling, and documentation (for Court Master and related roles).
  • Field/office support activities as assigned (for Field Assistant/Office Subordinate roles).
  • Operating computer systems, data entry, and basic IT-enabled office processes (for Computer Operator/System Assistant roles).
  • Carrying out process serving duties as per court directions (for Process Server roles).
  • Supporting educational/library/lab functions where applicable (Teacher/Librarian/Lab Assistant posts).

Requirements

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2025):

  • Minimum: 18 years
  • Maximum: 34 years
  • Age relaxation as per Telangana High Court recruitment rules.

Educational Qualification (post-wise summary):

  • Junior Assistant / Field Assistant / Examiner / Record Assistant: Intermediate (12th) or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Typist / Copyist: Intermediate (12th) or equivalent with Typewriting English Higher Grade or Telugu Higher Grade.
  • Process Server: SSC (10th) or equivalent.
  • Stenographer Grade-III: Intermediate (12th) or equivalent with Typewriting and Shorthand in English or Telugu (Higher Grade).
  • Office Subordinate: 7th standard pass or equivalent.
  • Computer Operator: Graduation in any discipline plus diploma/certification in computer applications.
  • Court Master: Degree in Law with proficiency in Shorthand and Typewriting.
  • System Assistant: Diploma in Computer Hardware/Networking or equivalent.
  • Assistant: Graduation in any stream and knowledge of local language.
  • Music Teacher (Female): Relevant degree in music and teaching experience.
  • Primary Railway Teacher: Intermediate with B.Ed. or equivalent.
  • Laboratory Assistant (School): Diploma in Lab Technology or equivalent.
  • Librarian: Graduation in Library Science or equivalent and knowledge of local language.
