Position: Constable (General Duty)

This role is ideal for disciplined, service-oriented candidates who want to build a career in public safety and community policing. Constables (GD) support day-to-day law enforcement operations, maintain public order, assist in emergency response, and uphold the rule of law in accordance with departmental procedures and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform general duty policing functions including patrolling, beat duty, and visibility policing.
- Maintain public order and assist in crowd management during events, gatherings, and emergencies.
- Support senior officers in law enforcement operations, checkpoints, and area security activities.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies; provide first response support and coordinate with relevant units as directed.
- Assist with documentation and basic reporting as per departmental protocols.
- Participate in physical training, drills, and readiness activities to maintain operational fitness.
- Cooperate with community members and support community policing initiatives to improve public trust and safety.
- Follow all departmental rules, conduct standards, and lawful instructions.
Requirements
- Education: Class 10th (Matric) under 10+2 system / Higher Secondary or equivalent from a recognized board in India.
For ST candidates: Class 8th from a recognized board is acceptable as per the recruitment information. - Age Limit (as on 29 September 2025): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 33 years. Age relaxation applies as per MP Police Constable recruitment rules.
- Selection Process: Written Examination, PET & PST, Document Verification, Medical Examination.
- Core Competencies: Integrity, discipline, situational awareness, communication skills, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure.
- Physical Readiness: Must be able to meet physical eligibility standards as assessed during PET/PST and medical examination.
