Position: Security Assistant (Motor Transport)

Overview: The Intelligence Bureau (IB) invites applications for the position of Security Assistant (Motor Transport). This role combines operational support and secure transportation duties, requiring safe driving practices, basic vehicle maintenance capability, and readiness to support field and office operations as assigned.

Responsibilities

Operate Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) safely and responsibly for official duties.
Ensure timely pick-up, drop, and transport of personnel, documents, and materials as per operational requirements.
Perform routine vehicle checks (fuel, oil, coolant, tires, lights, brakes) and maintain cleanliness and readiness of the vehicle.
Identify and fix minor mechanical defects; coordinate with authorized service providers for repairs when required.
Maintain basic logs/records related to vehicle usage, mileage, and maintenance as instructed.
Follow all security protocols, confidentiality requirements, and departmental instructions during assignments.
Support office/field tasks as directed, including document handling and coordination duties.

Requirements

Education: Class 10th / Matriculation pass from a recognized board.
Domicile: Must possess a valid domicile certificate of the state/UT against which the candidate has applied.
Language: Knowledge of any one of the local languages of the state/UT applied for.
Driving License: Valid LMV driving license issued by a competent authority.
Driving Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience driving a motor car after obtaining the valid driving license.
Mechanical Knowledge: Working knowledge of motor mechanics and ability to attend to minor vehicle defects.
Age Limit (as per recruitment rules): Minimum 18 years; Maximum 27 years (UR/EWS), 30 years (OBC), 32 years (SC/ST). Age relaxations apply as per government norms.
