Position: Excise Constable (Aabkari Sipahi)

Organization: Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) / Excise Department (Government Recruitment)

This role supports enforcement of excise laws, prevention of illegal liquor activities, and assistance in inspections, seizures, and administrative duties as assigned. Selected candidates will participate in a structured selection process and, upon appointment, will work in field and office settings as required by departmental operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in enforcing excise laws and regulations, including prevention and detection of illegal production, transport, and sale of liquor and related contraband.
• Support field operations such as inspections, patrols, checkpoints, and verification of permits/licenses as directed by senior officers.
• Participate in search, seizure, and documentation procedures in accordance with applicable rules and departmental guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records, registers, and reports related to duty assignments, inspections, and case documentation.
• Coordinate with team members and other departments during enforcement drives and routine operations.
• Ensure professional conduct, public interaction, and compliance with departmental discipline and standards.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisory officers consistent with the role.

Requirements

• Education: Higher Secondary (10+2) pass.
• Computer Qualification: 1-year computer diploma/certificate.
• Typing/CPCT: Must clear MP CPCT with Hindi typing at 20 WPM and/or English typing at 30 WPM (as applicable/required).
• Age: 18 to 33 years (age relaxation as per MPESB recruitment rules; age calculated as per official notification reference date).
• Physical Standards:
  • Height: Male 167.5 cm; Female 152.4 cm
  • Chest (Male): 81–86 cm
• Selection Process: Written Exam, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Document Verification.
• Ability to work in field conditions, follow instructions, and maintain integrity and confidentiality in official matters.
