Selection & Exam Overview
- Mode of Examination: Tier I Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST) (performance-based).

Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of discipline, integrity, and professionalism while serving in assigned units.
- Perform duties related to security, law enforcement support, public safety, and protection of vital installations (as per posting).
- Participate in training, drills, and operational readiness activities.
- Adhere to departmental rules, protocols, and chain-of-command instructions.
- Support team operations, documentation, and reporting as required by the unit.
Exam Syllabus (CBT) – Topic Areas
The CBT consists of four sections. Each section includes 20 MCQs for 40 marks (total 160 marks).
1) English / Hindi

2) General Intelligence & Reasoning

- Spatial visualization and spatial orientation

3) Elementary Mathematics
- Number systems; computation of whole numbers

4) General Knowledge & General Awareness
- Current events and general awareness of the surrounding environment
- Everyday observations and basic scientific aspects expected of an educated person
- India and neighboring countries with focus on: sports, history, culture, geography, economic scene, general polity, Indian Constitution, scientific research
Requirements
- Eligibility to apply for SSC GD Constable/Rifleman (GD) roles as per the official notification.
