Role Overview

As an Assistant Electrical Engineer, you will support engineering and field teams in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operation of electrical distribution systems. You will participate in technical planning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and coordination with stakeholders to deliver reliable power services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, execution, and monitoring of electrical distribution projects and maintenance activities.
  • Support operation and upkeep of distribution lines, substations, and associated electrical equipment.
  • Identify faults, analyze root causes, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, statutory regulations, and internal operational procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, inspection reports, and work records.
  • Coordinate with contractors, field staff, and internal departments to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Support service reliability initiatives, including loss reduction and performance improvement measures.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and compliance activities as required.

Requirements

  • Education: Full-time degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Location: Jharkhand (role may require field visits and work across various locations).
  • Selection Process: Computer Based Test (CBT) and interview.

    • UR / Female (Non-Jharkhand Domicile): 35 years
    • BC-I / BC-II: 37 years

Compensation

  • Pay Scale: Rs. 9300–34800/- + applicable grade pay (as per role category in the recruitment notice).
