Position: Pre-Primary Education Teacher (NTT Teacher)
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Pre-Primary Education Teacher (NTT) to support early childhood learning through engaging, age-appropriate instruction and a safe, inclusive classroom environment. This role focuses on building foundational literacy, numeracy, social-emotional skills, and curiosity-driven learning for young children.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons, activities, and play-based learning aligned with early childhood education principles.
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and social-emotional growth.
- Support foundational skills in language, early literacy, numeracy, motor development, and creative expression.
- Observe, assess, and document student progress; maintain accurate records and learning portfolios as required.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student development, progress, and classroom expectations.
- Develop and maintain classroom routines that encourage independence, cooperation, and responsibility.
- Collaborate with school leadership and fellow educators to plan events, activities, and learning interventions.
- Ensure child safeguarding, health, and hygiene standards are consistently followed.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs.
Requirements
- Diploma/Certification in Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) or equivalent early childhood education qualification.
- Prior experience teaching or supporting pre-primary/early years learners is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development, classroom management, and play-based learning methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills in interacting with children, parents/guardians, and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a child-centered approach to teaching and learning.
- Ability to plan engaging activities using storytelling, games, art, music, and hands-on learning.
- Basic proficiency in maintaining documentation, assessments, and reports.
- Commitment to safety, safeguarding, and ethical conduct in a school environment.
