Position: Industries Inspector

We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-minded Industries Inspector to support regulatory compliance, industrial safety, and quality standards across manufacturing and industrial establishments. This role involves field inspections, documentation review, reporting, and coordination with industry stakeholders to ensure adherence to applicable laws, rules, and departmental guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and special inspections of industrial units to assess compliance with relevant industrial regulations, licensing conditions, safety norms, and operational standards.
  • Verify statutory records, registers, permits, and certificates maintained by establishments; identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare inspection reports, notices, and follow-up documentation; maintain accurate records in departmental systems.
  • Investigate complaints related to industrial operations, workplace practices, and regulatory violations; document findings and propose actions.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies for joint inspections, audits, and enforcement activities when required.
  • Support awareness and advisory activities for industry operators regarding compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Assist in data collection, compilation of periodic returns, and preparation of summaries for senior officials.
  • Participate in training, examinations, or procedural updates as mandated by the department/organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering/Technology/Science/Industrial Safety/Manufacturing or a related discipline (as per applicable recruitment rules).
  • Knowledge of industrial processes, basic safety practices, and compliance documentation.
  • Ability to interpret rules, guidelines, and standard operating procedures; strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in preparing clear reports and maintaining records.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for field inspections and work in outdoor/industrial environments.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office or equivalent) for documentation and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills and professional conduct while interacting with industry representatives and the public.
