Position Overview
The Constable Driver/Driver-Cum-Pump Operator role involves safe operation of assigned vehicles, adherence to security protocols, routine vehicle checks, and support during emergencies. Driver-Cum-Pump Operator personnel may also be deployed for fire service support and operation of pumping equipment as per unit requirements.

Responsibilities
- Drive and maintain assigned vehicles in accordance with CISF rules, safety standards, and operational instructions.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tyres, fuel, fluids) and report defects promptly.
- Maintain trip logs, duty rosters, and basic vehicle documentation as required.
- Ensure compliance with traffic laws and internal security protocols during movement and deployment.
- Support security operations by ensuring timely and safe transportation of personnel/equipment.
- For Driver-Cum-Pump Operator: assist with operation of pumps/equipment during emergencies and as per unit deployment.
- Participate in drills, training, and fitness activities to meet force standards.
Requirements
- Education: Class 10 (Matric) pass from a recognized board in India.
- Age Limit (as on 04 March 2025): 21 to 27 years (age relaxation as per CISF recruitment rules).
- Driving License: Valid license for the following vehicle types:
- Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) / Transport Vehicle
- Light Motor Vehicle (LMV)
- Motorcycle with gear
- Experience: 3 years driving experience (HMV/Transport Vehicle OR LMV/Motorcycle with gear), as applicable per rules.
- Physical Standards (PST):
- UR/SC/EWS/OBC (except specified categories): Height 167 cm; Chest 80–85 cm
- Gorkhas & others (as specified): Height 160 cm; Chest 78–83 cm
- ST: Height 160 cm; Chest 76–81 cm
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- 800 meters run in 3 minutes 15 seconds
- Long jump: 11 feet (3 chances)
- High jump: 3 feet 6 inches (3 chances)
- Ability to work in shifts, in outdoor conditions, and under operational pressure as per force requirements.
