We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Professor to join our academic team. This role focuses on high-quality teaching, curriculum development, student mentoring, and scholarly engagement within the assigned discipline. Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions as assigned.
- Develop, update, and maintain course materials, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with academic standards.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, examinations, presentations, and other assessment methods.
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and guidance to students, including career and research direction where applicable.
- Participate in departmental activities such as curriculum planning, accreditation support, and academic committees.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, conferences, and collaborative academic initiatives (as applicable to the institution’s expectations).
- Support institutional responsibilities such as admissions support, examination duties, invigilation, and academic events.
- Maintain accurate academic records and comply with institutional policies, timelines, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in the relevant subject/discipline; Ph.D. preferred or as per regulatory/organizational norms.
- Prior teaching experience in higher education is preferred (freshers with strong academic credentials may be considered).
- Strong command of subject matter with the ability to communicate concepts clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to design assessments and evaluate learning outcomes fairly and consistently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a student-centric approach to teaching and mentoring.
- Comfort with academic technology/tools (LMS platforms, presentation tools, online teaching methods).
