Position: Sub / Deputy Engineer (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Trades)
Overview: We are seeking qualified engineering professionals for Sub / Deputy Engineer roles across Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical disciplines. The role supports planning, execution, inspection, and maintenance of engineering works and public infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with applicable standards and departmental procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, estimation, and execution of engineering works related to assigned trade (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical).
- Conduct site inspections, measurements, and quality checks; maintain inspection notes and compliance records.
- Support preparation and review of technical documents such as drawings, specifications, BOQs, and work schedules.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely progress and adherence to standards.
- Monitor material usage, workmanship quality, and safety practices at site.
- Prepare periodic progress reports, work completion documentation, and as-built details as required.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and proposing corrective actions.
- Support commissioning, testing, and handover activities (as applicable to trade).
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, departmental guidelines, and statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering (as applicable to the trade).
- Understanding of engineering standards, construction/installation practices, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and measurement sheets.
- Basic proficiency in documentation and reporting; familiarity with common office tools.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and field personnel.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work in field conditions as required.
