Position: Agriculture Supervisor

We are seeking a detail-oriented and field-ready Agriculture Supervisor to support agricultural program execution, farmer outreach, and on-ground monitoring of crop and input activities. This role involves coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with agronomy guidelines, maintaining records, and supporting training and awareness initiatives to improve productivity and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor field-level agricultural activities, including crop demonstrations, input distribution, and seasonal operations.
  • Conduct field visits to assess crop health, pest/disease incidence, irrigation practices, and soil conditions; recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with farmers, local bodies, and internal teams to implement agriculture schemes and extension programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of field activities, attendance, inputs, beneficiary details, and progress reports.
  • Support awareness campaigns and farmer trainings on best practices (seed selection, sowing methods, nutrient management, IPM/INM, post-harvest handling).
  • Ensure compliance with program guidelines, quality standards, and reporting timelines.
  • Assist in data collection for surveys, audits, and impact assessments; compile and submit periodic reports.
  • Coordinate logistics for field events, distribution camps, and demonstration plots.
  • Escalate field issues, risks, and constraints to management with actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with agronomists/technical experts to implement location-specific advisory and interventions.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Prior experience in agricultural field supervision, extension services, farm operations, or scheme implementation is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of crop cycles, soil health, fertilizers, pesticides, and basic plant protection practices.
  • Strong communication skills for farmer engagement and stakeholder coordination.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work in field conditions.
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office/Google Workspace) and comfort with mobile-based data collection tools.
  • Good documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Integrity, accountability, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
