Position: Stenographer (Grade C & D)
We are seeking detail-oriented, highly organized Stenographers (Grade C & D) to provide accurate shorthand transcription, typing, and administrative support in a fast-paced office environment. This role requires excellent English/Hindi language skills (as applicable), strong typing accuracy, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Responsibilities
- Take dictation in shorthand and produce accurate transcripts within defined timelines.
- Prepare, format, and proofread official correspondence, notes, reports, minutes, and other documents.
- Maintain records, files, and registers (physical and digital) in an organized manner.
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistical arrangements.
- Handle incoming/outgoing communications (emails, letters, phone calls) and route them appropriately.
- Support day-to-day administrative tasks including document scanning, printing, and dispatch.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive documents and information.
- Assist in compiling data, drafting routine communications, and preparing briefing notes as required.
Requirements
- Proficiency in shorthand and transcription with strong speed and accuracy (as per role level/organizational standards).
- Excellent typing skills and command of office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email).
- Strong grammar, formatting, and proofreading abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Professional communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
- Integrity and discretion when working with confidential information.
- Relevant educational qualification as per applicable hiring norms; prior experience in administrative/stenography work is preferred.
