Position: SERC Admissions Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented, service-driven SERC Admissions Coordinator to support the end-to-end admissions process for SERC programs. In this role, you will guide applicants through key milestones (application submission, document verification, communications, and status updates), ensure data accuracy, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver a smooth, compliant admissions experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective applicants, responding to inquiries via email, phone, and web portals in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate the admissions workflow, including application intake, document collection, eligibility checks, and status tracking.
  • Review applications for completeness and accuracy; flag discrepancies and follow up with applicants for missing or incorrect information.
  • Maintain accurate records in admissions/CRM systems, ensuring data integrity and consistent documentation.
  • Support the publication and maintenance of admissions information (important dates, instructions, eligibility criteria, and links) across digital channels.
  • Collaborate with academic, finance, and operations teams to align admissions decisions, fee payment steps, and onboarding communications.
  • Prepare periodic reports on application volumes, processing timelines, and common applicant issues; recommend process improvements.
  • Assist with admissions events (webinars, information sessions, helpdesks) and create applicant-facing guidance materials.
  • Ensure adherence to institutional policies, data privacy standards, and any applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Education, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in admissions, student services, customer support, or administrative operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple applications/tasks under deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with online forms, web portals, spreadsheets, and database/CRM tools.
  • Ability to interpret eligibility criteria and follow documented processes consistently.
  • Professional judgment when handling sensitive personal information; commitment to confidentiality.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting education/training programs, application processing, or document verification workflows.
